Dye aluminium??

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

I remember reading from an earlier posting here that someone colored the aluminium side plates on a Mugen bulldog using dye alone (without anodising). :P

Anyone here know the exact formula to get that done right?? :o

if you could get the liquid dye to stick would be the ticket. I don't think it would be that durable. I have read about home annodizig that uses 5 gallon buckets and a car battery for the power source.
