Steering Blocks

Hi Guys

I,m putting a TRX3 together and have come across two different types of steering blocks,
First, part No.2737 which is the same as fitted to the TRX1 and when fitted to the "3", spacers
are used to vary the front ride height, also the steering bellcrank spacers are moved accordingly
to eliminate bump steer
Second part No.2536 there are no spacers required to mount these in the castor blocks

Which set should I use? and what differences between the two will I notice?

The advantage of having the steering spindles adjusted with spacers is that in the "low" position, you can readjust your ride height with spring preload (to get back to the same ride height you had as in the high position). and your front arms will be at an angle (with relationship to the ground) that allows the front end to handle rutted turns more easily. In the high position, with the chassis at its normal ride height, you will have a slighlty more progressive front suspension that will usually result in more steering and a more responsive car. This is a very minute adjustment, and to undersand it best you need to try it back to back on your car to feel what that change makes. I personally like the adjustible over the static for this very reason. -Jeff
