Snapped a pic today of the runner that I got recently. I bought it from a scammer on another forum (as I found out when it showed up as a roller with not much else working) and ended up having to get some new electronics from civilguy here on this forum to get it driveable. The ball bearing bell cranks I got from Atlas on this forum are nice but there's still more play in the steering than I would like with that tie rod with ball joint ends going to the servo.

I'm thinking of getting the metal gear ball bearing servo with some new linkage to continue my quest to get rid of the steering slop.

How about that beat up body? I'm going to get something new and painted by W.E.D Jim with a wing. Also will have some tires on the way because the car has a tendency toward oversteer!



In an interesting/slightly sad story, this morning while running the RC10 with my 4 year old son's RC18MT we had a pretty hard high speed collision and the gold pan won the battle, breaking one of the front suspension arm on his RC18MT. I'm getting very familiar with Team Associated's website for ordering parts.

Ha ha - not suprised you aren't getting much rear-end traction with those slick tyres vs part-worn spike front tyres.

As for your steering - don't try too hard to eliminate all the slack in your steering, a certain amount of 'slop' helps make the car driveable - just make sure that your ball joints aren't too worn & that the balls themselves are nice & tight - set a bit of toe-in & with your new tyres, it should be good

I once got rid of all the slack in the steering on one of my cars years ago - it was so sensitive to the slightest steering input that it made it virtually undriveable!

definitely one piece wheels, not sure of the brand. One of those motors you sent me is fast but kills the battery, lol! I put the stock original motor in for some longer runtimes.

In one of the many steering hit crashes the servo head screw stripped out of the servo itself so the steering was unhooking itself easily, but thankfully you sent me that spare servo which I have in now. It must have some worn gears so I just posted a message about blowing some cash on a metal gear servo.

I've had good luck with the Traxxas 2070 servo in my RC10 runner. Not expensive either- you can get them under $20 shipped on ebay from the Traxxas strippers.
