Taisan Porsche finally acquired

Post by briang »

I've had my eye on these for a while. Finally got one! Awesome car to finally get to see in person. Tamiya nailed it with this one.

I built one as a display when I was working in a hobby shop....looked awesome with a sparkly blue/black paint and sticker job. It lasted like two days when some bloke came in and bought it for his kid. They came back about a week later for parts body looked like it had been involved in a massive pile up. :?

Thanks for the comments! It does need exhaust tips, I'm not even sure if it originally had them or not. I have to pull out the manual when I get home tonight.

That looks in nice shape. this is my favorite porsche from Tamiya. I don't know if your planing to run it but if you do, don't use those wheels. The gold centers are brittle and break easily.

Thanks shodog. It's new built/never ran from fleabay. Tires have a little dryrot so I'll likely replace them. No plans to run it though, it would be too hard to replace again.
