Re: Ultima Buildup
Is the top plate thicker than the bottom plate?
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: Ultima Buildup
I wasn't poking at you. Again too bad TBG doesn't do "proper" parts.

Re: Ultima Buildup
its just so weird, i mean that 1mm upper deck thing is like total trash. its not even full carbon fiber, it looks like it has at least 1 layer of white fiberglass.
i like the quality of his chassis and shock towers. the motor plate thing is a waste too, he would of been better off making the original out of a thicker aluminum, maybe something pargu could do. i own at least 6 original plates and 4-5 of them have a bend, or mishaped somehow lol
i like pargu's upper deck, but not in aluminum, just seems like a lot of weight to add for a runner

Re: Ultima Buildup
Hey Mike, what is the rear motor guard you have? is it a RC10 part? Post some more pics when you have some time.
It is looking good...

Re: Ultima Buildup
I remember that and did not get any. Now I need one but $13 is more than what I want to pay. What I did once was cut one out from a Kyndex sheet and shaped it with some heat.
Love the Ultima, I need to work on mine.
I made a new top plate and towers for my T Ultima out of G-10, I will be starting a thread for it later on the week.

Re: Ultima Buildup
well i mounted some new shocks on the car, the generic kyosho knockoffs werent as smooth as i liked. so i used a set of Ultima RB5 shocks, velvet bodies, gold titanium shafts, red aluminum parts, and kyosho springs.. still need a set of fronts, actually used rear RT5 truck springs in black because the lime werent providing enough bounce.
still undecided on the looks of the TBG chassis kit... its cool, but i miss the original chassis, i might move back to it after i run it a few times
these velvet shocks are some of the coolest ive ever owned, smooooooooth

Re: Ultima Buildup
Got rid of that stupid bluegroove chassis, was a real cheap peice of junk. i know the guy was trying to make a profit on this stuff but if the parts were made of a really high quality carbon fiber it would of went a long way.. put back on a original hardened chassis.
gonna stay like this now lol.
