My RC10 and my project RC10
This is a car I got free by winning an eBay auction for a Futaba Magnum Senior radio. I got a message saying that the seller had an old car and he was sending it along in the package. The gold chassis car below is what I received. Hardly a mark on it. The chassis light gold (not easy to see in the pics).
Below that is my project RC10. I've been collecting parts for it for some time. Just started building about the same time I discovered this site. I always wanted to do an original box art car but I also wanted to make a blue version. When Associated sold out their RC10 stock a few years ago I bought the blue chassis and a few sets of wheels and tires. Threw in a few blue screws too. Now I'm working on the shocks and then a body/wing for each car.

I must say that is a pretty smoking deal you got. I am glad to hear the deals are still out there to be had.

Very nice cars. Do not change or mod that gold pan, you may have a mid gen Edinger! It looks to be in very nice condition! Are the battery straps on it nylon or glass?

Re: My RC10 and my project RC10
What an excellent stroke of good fortune!! As Slotcarrod suggests, the Gold pan car does look like an Edinger produced car .... light gold chassis, GRP battery straps & early style front rib tyres
P.S; is that blue chassis anodised or painted??

Re: My RC10 and my project RC10
slotcarrod,
Alas, the battery straps are not fiberglass and I have NO intention of doing anything to this car other than cleaning it and painting a body/wing for it.
DerbyDan,
The chassis parts are anodized. It does have the lightest amount of shelf wear but no scratches. I don't think AE ever thought that these chassis would
be for display and it's difficult to find even a new one in perfect shape. Kind of like finding perfect Hot Wheels cars...

Great looking cars. I especially like the blue aluminum pan. Is that a team car setup you have or something else?
