Kyosho Scorpion with RC10 Stealth-tranny

Post by Tobbe70 »

Hi again :)
I don´t know if this belongs here but I´ll take the chance:

This is a Kyosho Scorpion with a RC10-tranny. A friend here in germany inspired me and this runs so smooth, thx to the stealth-tranny and combined with the Scorpion-front, this is a favourite runner :D Will post "convert-pics" later on if anyone is interested :)
Take care!

I had a similar idea and wanted to buy a tomahawk I saw on a shopshelf in Japan to do it. When I told people here I got some face-wind

I put the idea in the fridge after learning how much the tomahawk was gonna cost me.

In the end I found an ebay deal for a very heavily stripped scorpion chassis and made my ghostrider. It uses scorpion suspension parts, a composite craft rc10 chassis and turboglide belt-transmission.
The looks of the trailing arms all-a-round are killer, but I'm not excited about the front suspensions characteristics.

Sure woul like to see some top-less pics 8)

I am curious as well. I have a Turbo Scorprion that has never been ran. I have some spares but don't want to run it because of the gear box being delicate. Please post pictures when you have a chance.

Very cool,

That thing's got to be a blast to drive!

When can we see more photos of the chassis?
Projects and shelfers:
Late Edinger, RC10B2, Dual Sport, GT, Kyosho Turbo Ultima, Triumph, Tamiya Sand Scorcher, Blackfoot/Monster Beetle, '67 Beetle, Nikko Rhino, Traxxas Fiero, Slash, Hand-built Dune Buggy..all on here somewhere...
