Tomy?

Post by Konich »

Going through my old RCCA magazines I stumbled across a snapshot of the Tommy 4wd car. Does anyone have an info on these or better yet does anyone here have one?

I would like to get one but I'm wondering about price and most of all parts availability to restore one. Thanks!

I have a few of them :)

They are very nice buggies, Tomy just did not get serious with racing them in IFMAR events. They did very well in Hong Kong back in the early 90s. GPM made an aftermarket alloy car based on them. :)

is that the one that looked almost exactly like a yokomo dogfighter? I seem to remember seeing a couple in the club I was racing at back in the days. They were quite speedy if I remember correctly. Oh, that was indoors in a freezing cold gym track.

thanks for the link. Must've been the wheels that go my memory all mixed up  . In my mind the bulkhead was a bit more rounded and stubby as well.

I have a boxed Tomy Intruder Adonis, with a 1/8 pan car conversion, and some new in pack spares here and there :D
And a NIP shell undertray and decals.
