Losi/Kyosho Front Hub + Steering knuckle withbearings inside
Has anyone tried the front hub+steering knuckle from Losi/Kyosho? I like the idea of the bears in the hub inside of the wheels, or are they not that popular yet?

i've heard of guys using the losi setup on b4's but never really looked at them or asked about what all was needed.

i know on the ds the hot ticket is to use traxxas rustler parts (knuckles, axles, etc.) to run touring car rims. they're the same thing with the bearings inside the knuckle. i don't know how that setup would work on a buggy though (trackwidth).

I have used the RB5 setup on my ultima. It should work on an rc10 too I guess.TenzoR wrote:Has anyone tried the front hub+steering knuckle from Losi/Kyosho? I like the idea of the bears in the hub inside of the wheels, or are they not that popular yet?
The reason I did that was so I could use the narrow 4wd wheels I have with 12mm hex on the front of my ultima also

I did this mod on a B4 with losi parts. It works pretty well but it should be known that the steering arms on the losi spindles are a good bit longer than the AE arms, this changes ackerman and required me to remove some material from the bellcranks on the B4 to achive full steering throw. I don't know what effect it would have on an old RC10.
I think I have the parts to try it though, maybe I will.

We are all heading towards old age. Get there slower by bike.

Re: Losi/Kyosho Front Hub + Steering knuckle withbearings inside
since this topic has came up again i figure i would post these pics of one of my projects since it has the losi xxx front axles, spindles, caster blocks, and losi xx front wheels.
the with has changed a good deal. its pushing aprox 9.75" wide. roar rules states 250mm width max which comes out to a little over 9.8". so i'm pushing my luck and will need to keep an eye on tire width in order to stay within the limits.
now as far as how good it will do i couldn't even begin to tell you cause the car has yet to be finished. but hey i don't it so i could have front rims that matched the rear rims i wanted to use.
