Steering parts
Steering parts
Hey all
Are there any alternative steering parts I can use for my RC10?
I'm thinking something with bearings like the MIP system. Ive got some NIP original steering linkage parts but want to use something a little stronger for racing.
Thanks

Re: Steering parts
These don't run on bearings, but are pretty stout and inexpensive:

You need the 'tube', spring, and nut for the servo saver, but unfortunately Tower doesn't stock it anymore, but you should be able to find them online. I always just locked the servo saver part and used one mounted on the servo itself.

They would be 1/4x3/8 flanged bearings. Associated make a plastic set like that for the Worlds Car, which also fit the later GT and T2 as well. The arms in the second link appear to be direct copies of them (but mirrored, probably to allow you to mount the steering servo in a more favorable position).mikedealer wrote:something like this could work

Re: Steering parts
i ordered a set before but it had "both" steering holes, it was basically a combination of both of those (2 holes on each end), dont know if he sells those anymore.
they work nice, solid construction.

Re: Steering parts
I have these but not sure how good they are as the plate is attached via only screws with copper plate with no bearings.tizeye wrote:Did you see these?..they are cheap enough and period correct..http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180408648268&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
