a good way to mount tires on rims

Post by FlyinGN »

ya know when some tires wil just NOT get onto the rims?? Just too hard to stretch em on?? Boil a pan with water and drop one in.. Wait a minute and take it put.... BE VERY CAREFUL. The tire will be very hot.. Make sure the water is drained from inside the tire and now it will be easy to stretch to over the rim.. :) works great..

my friend had built a tire installer like they have at mechanics out of a spoon and a pottery wheel back in the day

i know the offroaders use a trick to get the bead to sit..
pour a little lighter fluid between the tire and rim. light it.. the vacumm of the small explosion put it right in place.

hope that can help
