Need new rims and tires for original RC10
I have been reading around the forums and I have a few questions about getting newer rims and tires on my old RC10. I am assuming that if I can't find the original rims and tires for my buggy, do I have to convert the rear axles to 3/16 to put new rims on the car? What rims can I use on the front? Everything on the car is stock and I'm really confused about what I need to order. BTW the car is in great shape and I plan on fully restoring it and racing it in the near future. I also looked around Tower for pinions and spurs and had a hard time finding them. I'm just getting back into RC and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! You've got some reading to do...

It's always nice to post some pictures of your ride. If you are going to race your buggy, you'll most likely want to go with 48 pitch gears. You should be able to find them at tower.

Yes. It's pretty much a completely stock goldpan RC10. It has a LRP ESC, receiver and servo from the Magnum Junior I bought for it around the same time. I also put a cheap venom motor in it mostly for testing purposes until I get everything restored and working correctly. Once I find out what classes are run at our local track then I will decide on what motors to buy (I'm sticking with brushed for offroad, I use brushless with my onroad car).matthew john wrote:this for a goldpan? u wanna go for vintage look or just something to run on them? pm , i got a set of brand new unused original tires on rims for the original rc10.
The shocks seem to be working great, I use the battery in the front to back position because the car felt more stable. I'm wondering what oil weight to use because when I drop the back end of the car it seems to bottom out really easily. It currently has the silver shocks installed on the back with the gold in the front and I always used the oil supplied with the kit to fill the shocks.
I have been trying to upload some pictures but whenever I upload them, they don't show up.

You probably need to resize them to load easier. Try going with 600 X 450 pixels.
