Re: Piece of Associated/RC History
Oh that's what that strange template was, I could'nt figure out that one. That would be a cool body to have but I know my source down in you know where doesn't have that one just the Ford Torino which he wanted to keep. The Dodge Daytona may come along just once in an eBay lifetime if it hasn't already come by. It sure would be a great body to have even if it is a Nascar body it is definitely unique.
Just exactly how long is a once in an eBay lifetime

Re: Piece of Associated/RC History
My Dad had nothing to do with the RC1 car. It was built before Gene got involved in Associated, I believe. Dad preferred his RC100 to the RC1 and would not race with the RC1.mrlexan wrote:Oh and how cool would it be to come across or talk to this "Jim Kirby" of Competition Bodies listed on the Daytona wing template. Also like to get some insight Mr. Kirby from Mr. Husting.

Jay you should watch video #3 as it explains all this and much more. Then after that #4,5, 6, 8 and 10.WebSteve wrote:My Dad had nothing to do with the RC1 car. Re: Piece of Associated/RC History
Other than the body and wheels and bushings, it looks as though this car could be duplicated in my garage.
I never thought about that before. Just make my own RC1ish car. I'm sure I'd be fine until I tried to run it.
