Just came from a old school hobby shop and found 1/4 inch black 3piece rims.. never saw or heard if this but thought they were way cool .were they a limited iitem back then?
To my knowledge the only consequence was weight vs 1 piece wheels. With brushless power it might actually be a nice thing to swap tires when they are spent.
I tried racing with some 3 piece rims on a high traction carpet track and it would occasionally pull a bead out. On a low - med grip surface they should be ok.
I've gone down the route of drilling wheels to fit 10T axles, i am now changing to 3/16 CVD's to use modern wheels without any hassle, however i have several pairs of 10T rims and i was wondering do any modern tyres fit the old rims? or do i just...

Thats all i run on my t. It sets the look for me. Remember if you ever want the tires off, soak them for a few min in acetone and the tires will come right off. I think I have had 3 or 4 sets of tires on mine :lol: . Truck 3 piece wheels are still...
My RC10 Gold pan restore project is going well. I thought that I had a set of tires to use but they do not fit. I have the three piece rims both front and back. What modern day tires can I use with these rims?

Go with some tamiya subaru brat tires in the back. They are 1.6in and fit perfectly. With its re-release, they are easy to find and have the best tread pattern for both street and dirt use. :wink: The only thing is that you have to trim out the two...
I've got a guy on another forum that swears there was an uber-rare black 3 piece wheel made for the 10T, but I don't recall ever seeing one, just the one piece wheels. Was there a black 3 piece wheel for the 10T that I've just never seen?

I scour the net for a particular part if I need it and also look at badly worded listings and generic things and have purchased a lot of items for just one particular thing. It seems to work out well in the long run, but you do get some stinkers...
