that did come out looking nice. you can get a pretty good shine on it by polishing the outside of the plastic with som really fine abrasive paste.

Good looking buggy, nice find too, $5 , can't beat that, unless its free of course. I too have been thinking about adding a Scorpion to my collection. Do you plan on running it?

Good job man.

When you say nitro, you mean pure nitro?

Thanks.

Ive never had any luck stripping paint off of bodies. It seems any thing capable of removing the paint affected the lexan with cracks & brittle edges. I dont recall trying nitro fuel though. Do you know what kind of paint was on there? I have a couple bodies I'd like to re-do, but don't want to risk ruining them. Any more tips on this? thanks 8)

nitro fuel has always worked well for me, i taken paint off bodies all from parma faskolor, to painted on tamiya acrylic paint that was heavily gobbed on, to regular thinner based spray paint. always comes off for me.

just wear those blue latex gloves that are chemical resistant because if the nitro fuel gets on your fingers/hands for any length of time, it will dry the top layer of your skin and it will peel off eventually (took me about a 6-7 days to shed the dead skin, eventually went at it with a pumice stone lol)

That Scorpion looks great!!. I have one in parts but need to locate more parts before I attemp anything.
AKA ( settin03 R/C hobbies and more ) on Ebay

Since being on this site I have found that I have too many parts and R/C Models. Please help me get rid of them. ;-)
