BRUSHLESS WIRING HELP
I just bought an outright evil LRP VECTOR X11 3.5 turn (9800kv!!!) brushless motor and plan to run it with my Mamba Max ESC.
Just need some help with the wiring...
LRP-Blue,Yellow & Orange
Mamba-Black,Red & White.
My guess would be red to orange, white to yellow and black to blue.
But I'd kinda like someone in the know to confirm or disagree about this.
My Mamba Max won't have any trouble running this sensored motor (seperate, plug in sensor harness) ,will it?
I'm sure it'll be OK.
Anyone?

Plug them in any way you want it doesn't matter. If the motor goes backwards swap any two wires to make it go the right direction.
Yeah Mambas run sensored motors fine.
Keep an eye on the ESC temp with crazy motors like that. They can handle getting really hot but I prefer to run a fan, makes a huge difference in the temp.

Cheers,Bugle.
I just plugged the last wire in and cable tied the wiring and...I HAVE A TIGER BY THE TESTICLES![/color
My wiring guess was right,it's all working as it should.
I'm gonna go put a fan on that ESC right now, cheers man.

Better hold on tight! Just thought I'd mention that some fans only kick on at a certain temperature. Don't assume that it doesn't work if it doesn't come on right away. You probably know that, but just throwing it out there in case.

Re: BRUSHLESS WIRING HELP
Must have been too tired, last night...I got the wiring wrong and the sucker only ran in reverse,so if anyone else wants to do this, the REAL deal is:
ESC red to motor blue.
ESC black to motor orange.
ESC white to motor yellow.
I just plugged the fan into the RX's batt port,so it's running all the time, pushing nice cool air onto the Mamba Max's heat sink fins.
I ran the sucker up the street and it is insanely fast!
But controllable,surprisingly!
The Yokomo BX handles it just fine, thanks.
I love that car,it is the smoothest 4WD buggy I've ever driven.The fastest,too.
Can't say enough good things about these cars!
