I love these motors,they are just the icing on the cake,on a nicely restored vintage Losi.

I finally found a Revolution I had long lusted after-the Daytona Oval,a vicious 8x1 wind with a white label.
When the motor arrived,I was very surprised to see it had a silver label on it.
Then,I looked at the endbell and there,instead of 'Epic',was 'Trinity'.
All Revolutions were based on Epic motors,as you can see on the endbell of one of my Jr's Choice motors,this one must have been manufactured within the tiny 6 month period that Trinity owned 49% of Team Losi,which must make it a rare piece.

I have the Silver Daytona (Pro SE),two Jr's Choice motors (again,long lusted after-JRX Pro & Junior 2)),two yellow label modifieds (LXT,JRX2,) and two red label stock winds (Junior T & JRXT).
I can't get enough of 'em!
I'd LOVE a MTM motor for my JRXT...

Pardon my ignorance, but does the colour of the can determine the wind of the motor or the generation of the motor?

I have one (albeit in poor condition) that has the white sticker on the can.

the white sticker is a specific motor, the "Jr's choice," a 17t double.
the red and yellow revolution stickers came on various stock and modified motors with different winds. My understanding is that there is no telling exactly which one it is other than if it is a bushinged fixed endbell it is expected to be a 27t stock motor.

I believe all the stock Revolution motors were silver cans with brown-ish sticker/yellow letters - and of course, fixed endbell/bushings;
While modified motors were black cans with yellow sticker/brown-ish lettering.

I agree that there is no real way to tell what wind the modified motors are, although I have seen several different motors with a small letter inscribed in the can:
" I " - presumably for the "insane" motor;
" O " - ...for the "oval" motor; etc.

I am not sure if these letters were ever inscribed at the factory or not...

The red label Revolution motors are stock winds.
The yellow label Revolution motors are modifieds.
The white label Revolution motors are the Daytona Oval motors, a real aggressive 8x1 wind, as are the silver decal motors, they're Daytona's, too. Just based on a Trinity motor, instead of the regular Epic can.

I'm certain these motors are from the six month time window when Trinity owned 49% of Team Losi.
The 'Jr's Choice' motors are a different deal, as they are clearly labeled as such, and don't have the regular decal on them.
All I need are a couple of MTM motors for my Losi trucks!

The motors with the yellow/brownish labels were the early motors. All of the newer motors had individual labels with the "Jr´s Choice" motor one of the first of them. The "Daytona Oval" seems an exception from decal design but I've never had one of those.

The "Motown Missile" was similar label design as the "Jr´s Choice" motor and the other newer motors had even different colours as the "Big Ed" or the "MTM". http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=23685

On the early motors it´s really not easy to tell which wind is inside but some motors I got had a small letter at the endbell but maybe this just was for some prototype motors. At least some of the motors also had a colour dot at the endbell as well but I´m not sure if this was a code for the wind, for who made the motor or as a sign the motor had passed quality control.

I still have one motor with a "4" engraved in the front plate, and that's a "Wet Mag IV".

I got a stock motor with a different color label. Notice the bushing and the "STK" stamping on the can.

Wow,that's one sweet motor!
Never seen a stock Revolution with that label,that's what the early Daytona Oval motors looked like.
A nice Revolution motor is just the icing on the cake,when they're slotted into a nice,restored ol' Losi.

Anybody know where to get a mint condition yellow label mod revolution motor? I have the stock one, but would like the yellow motor to complete a box art replica shelf queen...
