Re: gear chart or pinion advice for Losi JRX-Pro

I'd say you'll be closer to a 33t pinion than a 23t. Remember those gearing recommendations in the manual are for 2.0" wheels, NiCd and 4-minute races. I believe the LRM trans is 2.18:1 ratio. 86/23 x 2.18 = 8.15 FDR 86/33 x 2.18 = 5.68 FDR Will a pinion that big fit?

I run a 30t on mine when using the 21.5.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I got a DuraNovakTrax M5 from mikea96 that was a takeoff from a buggy he's building. Thanks Mike! I did a little wiring cleanup of some old splices. It's a nice little unit. I think I have an extra heat sink somewhere too. . 1000015190.jpg . I also picked up a nice Pit Wizard for a decent price. I e...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

RC10 bearing set and some Novak goodness; AM XXL, NER-2X, Cyclone and Cyclone C2. Unlike Frankentruck, I do zero pre-cleanup prior to posting them raw and untamed. Check out them blob solders and the wiring that looks like someone took a machete to  Resized_20241019_144935_1729367400870.jpeg

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Can't say no to a NOS Twister - the first aftermarket motor I ever bought. I still remember being in the living room breaking it in with a pair of D batteries in a radio shack battery holder, likely burning some spots in the end table from soldering. :o

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Much needed additional storage cabinet drawer job deal. Roughly 4 sq. ft. of workbench space has been covered with a mound of various hardware for far too long.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Over the last couple of days the upgrade parts for my TT-02R build have been coming in. . 1000015364.jpg . All I need to do now (other than kit assembly 😁) is to make a transponder mount. I should be able to manage that, as long as I can figure out a good mounting spot. It just needs to point out th...

I have one but I usually eyeball it.

I don't use expensive servos, so my stuff doesn't center very well anyway.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Amain was (is?) closing out some toy grade stuff, took a gamble on them since they didn't have much for pics or reviews. This entire lot was under $100, and while shipping wasn't free I did make another purchase that qualified so the entire lot shipped for free. Pretty impressed with the quality for...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

My wife has been asking me to build her a truck. Knowing that it will probably have a rough life, a Stampede was the obvious choice. I picked up a XL-5 slider for cheap and proceeded to build it how I wanted to. Front: - Proline Protrac wide control arms. - RPM caster blocks, with VXL carriers and h...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Completed this rebuild of a Tamiya TA02 I received a little while ago... including adding a body I picked up for not a lot off eBay. 20241209_201026.jpg 20241209_201235.jpg 20241209_201315.jpg 20241209_201332.jpg Came out all right, I think..... Re: So I took my vintage Losi to the track..

Sounds like the breakage caused the accident.. For a stronger modification, you can use A-2007 5-link outer hinge pins. This was featured in Losi Tech Talk back in the day. Here it is on my runner JRXT but I used some shock spacers instead of the push on clips. https://i.postimg.cc/FsTFhKG4/69-C1-C4...
