Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Built the transmission for an upcoming Traxxas based project. Hot Racing case with a rebuilt diff, Drag Race Concepts aluminum drive gear, and Hot Racing aluminum idle gear. All shimmed to reduce endplay. 20250407_185546.jpg I used an old style hex input shaft so that the old style slipper could be ...

Kyosho MOONEYES Street Van and Nitro Blizzard

Kyosho was making nitro wishes come true with the MOONEYES Street Van and Nitro Blizzard in this Aladdin's Tale ad from 1998: MOONEYES Street Van: 1/10 4wd Nitro on-road model released in 1998. Tribute to the MOONEYES vans created by the speed parts company opened by Dean Moon in 1950. Heavily based...

Re: Hot Trick Hot Shot x 2

My Hot Trick Hot Shot finally got to stretch it's legs at a vintage meet after a couple of dormant years in a box.

Recycled a plastic bottle cap as carpet protectors over the shock struts. Long-awaited excuse to buy a Fanta..

Two happy days in day light at a brisk pace :D

Re: Factory Works Ten4.1 project

Thanks to Nick Barber of Remote Control Hobbies Orlando I have finally acquired an original set of our original Ten4 pulleys and idlers made for us by Robinson Racing back in 2015 or so. Interestingly enough they are pretty similar to the new AE 4wd parts. If anyone wants to build our 2015 version o...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Over the last few days I've been resurrecting a few old and worn parts. Filing, sanding and polishing, polishing, polishing... More hours than I care to admit. My Litesink is the same one I used when I raced my Houge RC10 in the 80's-90's. Never really been happy with the way the Litesink turned out...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I started a remodel on my Granddaughter's RC track. I picked up some scrap plastic gasline to replace the steel posts. They will be over soon to grab shovel's and start building jumps. I'm doing my part to inspire the next generation of RC enthusiasts 👍

Kyosho Super Ten Sport Rally Cars

In 1997 Kyosho brought their Super Ten Sport 1/10 Rally Cars to market. Advertising their larger than 1/10 size the Super Ten Sport cars capitalized on Kyosho's Outrage 1/10 2wd buggy platform originally released in 1994 for their off-road prowess. This meant their rally action would be provided by ...

Re: Losi JRX Pro SE Racer build

Getting closer now. Got the spindles changed to buggy length. Also swapped the steering ballstud to the underside of the carbon steering rack.

All black titanium turnbuckles with RPM ends. Very thankful for JC Racing. They have made it so running and racing these vintage cars is so much easier.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I keep hearing great things about Fan RC, and I couldn't resist their blue edition kit. I'm adding in the forged carbon chassis and towers.

Re: 1991 Detroit Losi prototype – tribute car.

I'm curious to know how these handle compared to the Pro Se and later XX. anyone driven one yet?
