Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I've got a couple of those Tekin Rebels. They can be finiky to program. Having to do it four or five times isn't uncommon. No experience with these. I'll do a search but can't hurt to ask, how do you go abouts to program them? Hope at least one of them works considering I got 'em pretty cheap, like...

Re: Replacement options for slipper clutch thrust bearing
Bringing an old thread back up, and thought I'd throw out a couple options I'd found. 1st. Fast Eddy 3X8X3.5 (F3-8M) bearing. Luckily I ordered two sets to try, because only one outer race from each fit. I tried drilling the race but they are hardened. (These were cheap and I needed to spend a few m...

Re: Which off road buggy?
The Tamiya, because it makes me the least nauseous. I'm not a big fan of the cab foreword buggies.

Re: Parts lot rebuild
Catching up on this one. Finally got all the turnbuckles and bearings, made some new nose and wing tubes, installed a front bumper to cover the nicked up nose plate, and put in nice Reedy Tru stock. Screenshot_20210629-143111_Gallery.jpg 20210629_142907.jpg I also got a body fitted (rough fit). I wa...

Re: do axial 10mm pistons fit assocaited 10mm shocks
Their 10mm shocks use a 3.5mm shaft, too large.

Re: do axial 10mm pistons fit assocaited 10mm shocks
I was going through my shock box and found some Traxxas pistons for Ultra shocks (the common plastic ones). They fit nicely in some V1 bodies that I had there.

Re: RC10 Stealth Carbon Fiber Slipper Disc (last one you'll need)
This looks like a replacement for the original 6585 disc.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Jul 06, 2021 8:03 am I'm not positive that I know all the OEM Associated friction disc styles and sizes. Is this a replacement for the 9253 disc, or a different one?
The 9253 is the larger one from the B/T3 (maybe GT2).

2014 Beetle
Since the weather continues to be garbage, I decided to go ahead and build this one. While none of it was hard, several things were more aggravating than I thought. 20210708_190851.jpg Put the optional gearing (8.3:1) in the transmission and paired it up with some vintage Kyosho power, a 34° Super S...

Re: 2014 Beetle
Got it all wired up. - This car doesn't have much room for a traditional antenna wire, so I had to wrap a good bit around a spool (Traxxas 1926) and attach it to the side of the receiver. - The tub has an opening in the bottom to pass the motor leads through, keeps it clean. - The car is setup to ha...

Re: 2014 Beetle
The original Kyosho adds show the inner cover being black, even though the manual says nothing about it. So I gave it a couple coats of Duratrax basic black and sealed everything away. Kind of a shame to cover all that up. Screenshot_20210709-183508_Gallery.jpg And with the body sitting on it. 20210...

Re: Hobbywing 1060 clones?
The real 1060 is also rebranded by several places, used in their RTR cars. Some other brands of esc's are also rebranded Hobbywings. But there are lots of threads and videos around about fake 1060's. The wire color seems to be one of the main giveaways. I've read that lots of people actually have go...

Re: Is this much spur gear/diff hub gap normal?
No, not normal.
That is an AE 32P spur gear but I have modern 48P Kimbrough gears that fit the same.
But you should be aware that there are spur gears with different hub diameters out there.

Re: Is this much spur gear/diff hub gap normal?
As I said, you can try a Traxxas spur as well.
The center is close enough that it will still physically fit on a standard tube, but the fit is too tight for the diff to work.
