Re: Want to try brushless

+1 on the Trackstar combo's and programmer , the punch being fairly low is kinder to old gearboxes without a slipper clutch to protect them but that's personal choice, its good to have so many adjustments on hand . 1 punch can give a soft or aggressive start 2 breaks can be dialed up or down 3 timin...

MG 10 Single

I picked this motor up in a set of MG motors supplied to me by a successfull team Schumacher driver. He was allowed to select his own electrics and was sponsored by MG motors for '93 and '94. He used these MG's for the Florida Winternationals at that time. This is a 10 Single Exterminator, and the p...

Re: The fall of old Tekin...

I definitely went to Performance and K&M around that time occasionally. My local track was Mammoth RC in Pasadena, it later became J's Action RC. That's where I met Frosty. We mostly raced nitro cars together, electric sometimes as well.

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6

Hi Lonestar Yep, I'm pretty much using what I have in spares or can/could get for a reasonable price. And at least I'm staying kind of AE loyal. I've got some Andys arms but the rears are probably 7-8 out of 10. Also AE rears are still available and I had new AE fronts. Longer B4 arms in the rear wo...

Turbo Optima 2019 re-release in “boring” box art colors

I haven’t contributed anything to this message board in a while so I thought I’d post some pics of a newly completed 2019 TO re-release – for the one or two members out there who might be interested in seeing this car. Re: Turbo Optima 2019 re-release in “boring” box art colors

looking good despite the bigger bore shocks, the somewhat very-yellow gold ano, and those 2.2 rubber monstrosities  Thanks! I had the same impression when I first saw those pre-release photos; apart from the big wheels and big shocks it looks like the original car. Actually, the wheels are...

To anyone who has an Optima Mid Custom box

Hi all, new member here. My name is Steve and i was heavily into RC in the late 80's to early 90's. Owned a few different models from Tamiya and Kyosho, but my favorites were always the Optima Mids. I just finished an Optima Mid Custom Special restoration and am now working on an Optima Mid Custom. ...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2019 **

Dinglem, I personally enjoy reading your posts as do others I'm sure. It's very interesting seeing the UK history/contribution to the hobby. The problem is when topics don't get replies it makes the original poster feel as if nobody is interested but that's not always the case. If members don't have...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2019 **

I pop on the site at least 10 times a day to see what’s happening. I Don’t always post something but this definitely my favorite site! I guess I didn’t notice the thumbs up button, I’ll have to start using that.

I know things will pick up, summers almost over

Re: Mid-motor B1, B4, B6

The transmission and rear suspension is mounted. Really pleased with how it turned out. No limiters needed in the shocks. Bone engagement looks to be spot on. There is no binding at either full extension or compression. At a ride height of 22mm there is 2 degrees of camber. Camber changes are minima...
