Someone on eBay is selling random pictures he's found. It's like he's scavenged in the end table drawers of 1000 homes for pictures of everyday life. I thought RC10talk would like this one. And idea what they are?

Re: Paint pen to touch up anodized parts?
This one is gold anodized. A lot of shades of gold out there, so there will be some experimentation. Might paint the screw heads too. Pimp my gold pan.

Paint pen to touch up anodized parts?
I've slowly been cleaning parts. Right now I have a clean, but very scratched up Hot Trick Stuff nose plate. Has anyone used a paint pen (or paint in any form) to touch up anodized chassis bits? Just leave the battle scars to be admired? Or paint it up to give it that 10ft beauty look. As in, she's ...

Re: Early MIP Transmisson Cleanup
Thanks Shodog. I'm learning bit by bit. I might have already mentioned this, but you're collection is amazing. So clean. And great pics. I just browse through your pictures and notice something new every time. DJ Kilroy, I found them at a garage sale just a few blocks from my house. I rarely stop at...

Thanks Phin. Much appreciated. LOL. After reading this, I went searching for Thorp diff information and found this thread http://tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=43755&id=5475 on the Tamiya forum. In it is a link to a Thorp instruction sheet .pdf. Cool. http://www.geocities.com/prescotmes/T...

Ready for a little diff lube and reassembly http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p29/mk-Zero/RC/20140901_220619_zpsw9oz4kxf.jpg Excellent pics. Check out the gears on my MIP. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=36160 . My idler gear is nylon and the diff gear is deeper. Any thoughts?

Re: Would a MIP transmission rebuild thread be useful?
Hi, I started a thread in the Tamiya subforum for the rebuild. http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=36160
I wish I did have a parts list for it, but I don't. I'm new to RC. It was a garage sale find and I'm learning what I can about it.

Countersunk holes worn out of round.
Wallered out, I believe that's the machinist's term. :-) I gave my no-stamp chassis a good cleaning last night. What I found is the holes where the rear a-arm mounts....mount have worn themselves a bit out of round; maybe 1/32" on the wheels side of the hole. Is there a standard fix for this so...

Hey, I'm learning! I disassembled the gold pan from the first post. Just getting to know the parts up close and personal, getting ready to clean them. Then I found this thread about a Hot Tricks build... http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=20248 . -Hot Tricks front shock tower -Spring c...

Re: What do you use to initially clean up plastics
... I use the bigger one from harbor freight ,,, Have your ultrasonic cleaner given you any trouble? How do you empty yours? I ask because I've hear of liquid getting inside through the gap between the metal pan and the plastic shell. There's supposed to be a seal inside, but I've heard of failures...
