Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10
I think it's worth noting that I put holes in all my tires and have never had one tear. Definitely. That had crossed my mind as well. Nice to have you answering all of these questions.....even before I ask them. So a couple of observations for anyone else stumbling upon this in the future since I a...

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10
Yep, helps tons. I was specifically curious about the wheel and tire venting but forgot to mention it. Thanks for the advice. I might try trimming the foam just because from what I've seen/read, it makes sense and looks easy. I have Gorilla glue and was thinking of using it so good to hear it should...

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10
That got as much interest as I initially had with the question (about Rollout). haha I now have the wheels and tires. JC Racing and Proline Caliber / 4-Ribs. Question about mounting. Between this -- http://prolineracing.com/how-to-tips-tire-mounting And this -- ....is ...

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10
Now I need to look up/figure out the rpm of my motor based on its current timing spec and ESC settings so I can see what this would actually mean in real world driving. I'd like to know, but it's not likely I'm going to figure out that information. ***Ah crap, new page. Go back to pg.10 to see wher...

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10
So I measured the circumference of my worn out TA Champion tires and it's 246.0625mm Divide that by my Final Drive Ratio of 6.31 and I get 38.996mm or ~39mm of Rollout. I looked up the spec on brand new Champion tires and their circumference works out to 257.48mm...a "whopping" 11.42mm gre...

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10
Here is a new word for ya. Rollout. I'll let you look it up. http://teamassociated.com/pdf/cars_and_trucks/shared/gear_ratios.pdf Interesting. Thanks. I'm not certain how relevant all of this is for my purposes (not using foam tires, not driving [much] on road, not racing), but now you have me intr...

Mine does the same thing. Brutal understeer. (short arm Cadillac)mk-Zero wrote:I'm hoping part of the reason my car has been pushing so bad on throttle and is so twitchy off is the 15 degree blocks. I guess I'll find out Thursday.

Re: Help Me Rebuild My Original RC10
Here's a visual of how hard this thing is on tires now....along with some yahoo driving. This is after 2 packs on asphalt and 1 on a gravel baseball diamond, none even down to the low voltage warning. Ordering new tires tonight for the JC Racing wheels already on their way. http://img.photobucket.co...

Re: Rc10 short arm/ 6 gear setup and race discussion
I also removed some toe-in which was a result of the measurements from the manual. I still have a visually noticeable amount of toe-in. I think I'm going to correct it some more. Toe-in is better than toe-out, but I'd prefer almost zero. Here's a picture of the fronts. There's ~6.75mm between the s...

Re: A-stamp long arm updated runner
I didn't realize it would be that complicated, or just involve so many parts I guess.
I agree with your last statement. I'll just leave it. Thanks.

Re: RC10 Classic Runner
The servo saver linkage is already mounted with 8-32 x 7/8 aluminum screws so I'm thinking I'm good to go.85Edinger wrote:I think you would be good to go as long as you have extra screws. I'm pretty sure those screws are the same as all the others on the bottom of the car.

Re: A-stamp long arm updated runner
Is there a white long arm conversion kit or is it something you have to piece together yourself?
What's required to convert a Classic to long arm? Just arms and longer turnbuckles?
That's some nice carnage. Haha

Re: RC10 Classic Runner
If you decide you want to upgrade your bellcrank I suggest this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDWHZ&P=7 Plus the four bearings to replace the bushings. Going from the original servo saver steering linkage to this, do I need all of those parts or just these (link below) ...
