Re: 24 Hour Race!
This is so cool. I've done some pretty insane RC endurance racing, but nothing even close to 24 hours in length.
So here's the real question: How could you give up watching the 24 Hours of LeMans in order to race RC cars? LOL!

Re: Worlds Chassis Questions
My apologies; the World's chassis alloy is 2024-T6. It's on the flap side of the World's Car box. 2024-T6 is also much stronger than 6061-T6, but not quite as strong as 7075-T6. That's awesome information. Thank you! Is there by chance a picture of this somewhere? I got both of my Worlds Cars secon...

Re: Worlds Chassis Questions
As sort of a follow up question to my previous post, I have also heard/read that a lot of the factory drivers never liked racing the graphite chassis cars. I think this had something to do with the chassis not reacting as well (too stiff?) on the typical tracks of the day. If this is true (and pleas...

Re: Worlds Chassis Questions
Actually, the World's chassis is a different aluminum alloy. I believe its 7075-T6 vs. the 6061-T6 used on all the previous chassis. 7075 is pretty much the strongest aluminum alloy available. It's stiffness and elastic properties would have made the largest change vs. the standard chassis. In comp...

Re: Help With Chassis Repair
I was trying different things on one of the chassis today. I learned a few things: 1) A hammer is a bad idea. 2) You can't get enough leverage with just your bare hands. 3) All of my body weight (standing on the chassis with the chassis upside down) flattens the chassis nicely. 4) When I step off of...

Re: Help With Chassis Repair
Yes. The curvature is uniform from front to back. Attaching the nose and nose tubes doesn't change anything. The cars look like they have fat bellies.RC104ever wrote:Are they bent even after you install the nose tubes? I've found that helps a lot.

Re: One last gold custom...
great looking car bob, I would like to see it with both black nose tubes and black plastic front arm mounts. I think that would tie everything together really well. I agree with the black nose tubes, but not the black plastic front arm mounts. The rear arm mounts are gold. Keep the fronts the same....

Re: Help With Chassis Repair
Pics of each chassis on a flat surface like table top and take the pic at same level as chassis would show how bent it really is and if its twisted.DON I don't have any pictures to share, but I have checked each chassis on a perfectly flat surface. None of them are twisted or bent from side to side...
