Re: Project Tomy EX (27th Oct.,2009 updated)
Bringing this back from the dead, if people are throwing tamiya hub carriers on the front, has anyone tried some tamiya front knuckles on and some tamiya unis as a way of converting the car to 12mm hex. This might be sacrilege to some but wheels are hard to come by, even yokomo rims and wheel "...

Re: The first TRF ewer…
yeah you can definately see this is the evolution from the super astute to the dyna storm, the bellcranks are just like the dynastorm ones except the arm that connects to the servo turnbuckle is flat down near the chassis, in the dynastorm they raised it so it would be a simliar height to the ballst...

Re: Vintage racing questions
Man, I thought this was going to be a post about questions one would hear or say BITD. lol oh you mean like "Can they really fit 1700mah into a cell these days?" or "theres something softer than HT?" or "do 2 shocks on the front really work better than my mono-shock setup?&...

Re: Tamiya Re Release Hi Cap Dampers
this is one of the best things tamiya could have re-released, so many of their cars need to be upgraded to hi-cap dampers to be period correct, but the astronomical prices put that out of reach of so many, i'll be buying a few sets ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: Astute Thorp Dirt Burner
Hey guys. Sorry to bring this back from the dead but what i don't get with these thorp bits is why they're called overdrive or under drive. Every pic I've seen, the counter gear on the back has 16 teeth just like standard. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Can't tell which is better for the DB-01 chassis
Hey all, Some more questions here. If I were to get a brushless setup would I have to get a metal spur gear? I've heard of brushless rig chewing threw spur gears like tasty snacks. If this was the case, where would I buy one? No need to get a metal spur gear, there seems to be this "brushless ...

Re: Can't tell which is better for the DB-01 chassis
just look up the specs of the esc, if the baldre came with one it should be able to run a dirt tuned, tamiya normally put the TEU-104BK in their cars, a quick look on google showed me that is does indeed have a low voltage cut off that can be turn on or off depending on what battery u are using, and...

Re: Can't tell which is better for the DB-01 chassis
most 2s stick lipo packs will fit, anything under 6000mah would be fine, i dremelled the battery area flat in my chassis so the pack sits better in the car the runtime is determined by mah, so a 4200 nimh will last as long as a 4200 lipo, lipos have a higher nominal voltage 7.4v compared to nimh 7.2...

Re: F103 Tyrrell P34 six wheeler remix
No kidding. As cool as the car was (I too loved it as a kid), you had to wonder, "WTF were they thinking?" taking a race car and giving it not one front end but two , with all the added unnecessary points of failure it brought...evidently it wasn't a race-worthy design or we'd still be se...
