Re: RC10 DS from scratch and spares
Well, my body came in today. I hate the US Postal Service, box was marked fragile all over and of course it was crushed. The drivers side of the body has a few creases and dents in it. I called the post office, but I would have had better results beating my head on the wall. Oh well, I guess it won'...

Re: RC10 DS from scratch and spares
Lobo, Thanks for the birthday wishes and kind words. Here is another small update. I have everything on the DS done and the body is finished. I'm just waiting on it to be delivered back from my buddy. Who did an amazing job on the body!!! I can't wait to see it mounted up. :) http://i1321.photobucke...

Re: RC10 DS from scratch and spares
Small update, my buddy who is painting the body for me sent me some pictures. It still isn't finished just yet, but the progress is looking great. http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u558/dbs179/RC%20Stuff/RC10%20DS/IMG_6577_zps7ed6ce95.jpg http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u558/dbs179/RC%20Stuff/...

RC10 DS from scratch and spares
Hi all, I decided to roll out my old RC10 Graphite several months ago, followed by a refresh of my Traxxas Eagle, but in my pokings around on RC10Talk, I found an RC I didn't even know existed and fell in love. The amazing DS's in this forum made me want one for myself. I had quite a few extras from...

Re: RESTO MOD - RC 10 NDS / 69 Camaro Z28
Lobo, What length are the dog bones for the DS and are their any from other RC's that fit? I've been looking on ebay for some, but there doesn't seem to be much of a selection. Thanks, Dave Will get them measurements for you once I get home. I pm'd you some links and pics. You'll have your choice o...

SRTracer,
Thanks for the offer, but I ended up finding two sets in black a few days ago, so hopefully I'm all set for now.

Re: Eagle Gearbox Cases and Options
Got all of my parts in today. So far so good. Two packs run through the new gearbox with no issues at all. For anyone looking into this in the future, here are the parts I ended up with. I understand that if you have the Blue Eagle or Blue Eagle LS, this is a much easier process, but if you have the...

Re: Eagle Gearbox Cases and Options
You might consider researching the Blue Eagle conversion and rolling with a three gear trans with slipper. If I recall the upgrade kit came with trans, rear bulkhead, motor plate(s), long rear arms / drive shafts, dished wheels, arm mounts.... All that stuff is compatible with some mods and more av...

Re: Eagle Gearbox Cases and Options
I ended up finding one more original case from Sabula Tech. It came in two nights ago, so I'm almost done getting the Eagle back together. I'm just waiting on Long Rear Arms. Can wait to run this thing again! The new case ended up lasting less than one pack before the rear tie rod mount broke. I en...

Re: TRA1637 Steering Blocks in Black?
Dave, They do make black ones. They seem to be fairly rare but not impossible to find. I have seen them before on the big e-auction site. Wish I could give you a definate lead on those, but they are out there, in black, just a matter of what you think a fair price would be. I'm always on the lookou...

TRA1637 Steering Blocks in Black?
Just what the topic says, did they ever make the 1637 steering blocks in black opposed to the standard white? I have a set of white ones but was looking for them in black (I know I can dye them if need be). If not is there another part number to replace it?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Re: Out of retirement, my RC10 Graphite
Having just been down the same path, all the new tech was daunting to me at first, but the tech threads here helped a ton. I was very shocked at how well some of the low dollar options for radios, ESC's and brushless motors work. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much performance you w...
