Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Awesome, I have been trying to find out what the hell it was forever. I've almost tossed it a few times because its so ugly, but maybe I should throw that engine back in and try it out.

The end of the performance brushed motors?
Anyone familiar with pretty much the end of high performance brushed motoros? I was told, but I dont have much info that these round brushed motors running in at a angle, were when they motors were getting really good, but brishless had pretty much taken over. IW as out of the scene when this transi...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
Maybe someone here can tell me what the heck this 1/8 nitro buggy is. It has a weird spoiler that actually goes down as the suspension squats in the rear. http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/188385_10200660025404473_1384639151_n.jpg http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/600730_1020066002...

A couple of stinger mk1's
I dreamed of this when I was a kid ever since I saw the article they did in rcca way back in the day. I scored these off ebay awhile back. I haven't got around to getting parts to put the second chassis back together, but the lowennbrau bodied one is pretty much ready to go. It has some aluminum whe...

Re: Blizzard advice, brushless, lights, weak points?
I bought a new nitro blizzard the other day off ebay for 300 shipped or so. t uses the qrc trans, but woks amazginly l. I was actually amazed at how well the trans works once you get your linkage et right, and how controlable the damn thing is. It's fun outclimbing my friends scx10 on steep loose ma...

Finally picked up a rc250
I'm pretty sure it's a 250 at least lol. I sagged this off ebay a few months back. I've always wanted one since I saw a guy a long time back come into the lhs with it. I'm planinorunning this this summer at timezone. Right now I need to clean her up, and source a pipe for the back. If anyone has som...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
So I made a great score on craigslist the other day. I picked up some ex racers entire lot of racing stuff that looks llike it spanned from the mid 90s to 2005ish. Looks like at one time they even ran nitro, but what I got was a bunch of xray t1fk stuff with aftermarket chassis gallore. along with a...

Re: been thinking about pickin up a yokomo yz10
hmm the one I'm looking at doesnt have the upper chassis brace that those have, and there seems to be a tensioner in the middle. It has gold shocks as well. Any idea what era that might be? actually it looks real similar to the bottom one with white wheels. There doesnt seem to be a slipper clutch e...

Re: engine temps for ae .15
both have been running pretty much perfect, but I just wanted to make sure I was in the ball park. I gotta get this os 18 figured out, gonna try getting it started at factory and go from there, but I think the clutch shoes are shot. engine seems to be pushing a lot of rpms with not much clutch bell ...

been thinking about pickin up a yokomo yz10
there is a local one for around 80 bucks, Looks like a cf chassis, white wheels with 2 screws holding them together with the 2 piece body under and over. I'm not quite sure which era it is from.. It has white control arms, and gold shocks. I thought rc10 when I saw the shocks but then I was like oh ...

Re: RPM re-re, please confirm.
they need to get rid of the f'n blue they use and stick to black or white. I'd be down for a few sets, but l dont see it happening. someone should just get they copied. It seems easier and cheaper to go cast a few custom bell housings for a car than to deal with some hobby companies about making old...

Re: Cars from your youth
the 80s were the golden age for japanese cars. So many turbo charged vehicles, and they were a blast to drive, I absolutely love em. I currently own 10 cars, most from the 70s n 80s and almost all older mitsubishis, but yeah I love the older stuff, I absolutely hate the new car designs. Driving a 24...

engine temps for ae .15
I'm beginning to think I might be running my engines a bit too hot. I've read all kinds of things that operating temps should be anywhere from 190 to 240. I've got my engines running around 228 after a good run, I cant remember what idle is but I think it would cool down a bit. Both trucks have been...

dont forget some of the paint jobs they have been putting on them lately. There is a reason I like the vintage stuff. I especially love the old biggies with the drivers in them
