I'm sorry I did not explain better. I'm talking about the internal retaining clip on the outside of the oldest gold shocks that holds the o-rings in place.

Does anyone know the size of the retaining clips for the original gold shocks? I'm trying to order some from McMaster-Carr.

Never mind about the gold mini nuts question. I believe I found them. I think they are Team Associated part #4449.

I'm just a little lost. I have this old white stealth transmission that came with a used buggy. I wanted to try and use it on a DS but it did not feel right. So I decided to take it apart and rebuild it by just cleaning everything and greasing the parts.

What does the distilled water do? Does the lack of minerals and boiling help them come back somewhat. Almost like a cleansing?
