Re: pawn stars, trailbreaker / my avatar

Fat cats were cool! Yamaha had their own versions called BW's they made a 200cc and even an 80cc mini-sized one... Right! Yamaha also make a street-legal version called the TW-200, my buddy has one, I just rode it the other day - it's a bit gut-less, as you might imagine for a street-legal 200cc mo...

Welcome. This is the place for previously R/C-abstinent junkies who have fallen off the wagon and become addicted to R/C again...

It can get expensive, if you're not careful.

Re: RC10T Runner by slotcarrod

Really cool build. This inspires me, as it is done with essentially un-modified parts from various manufacturers - you see, I just don't have the tools nor the skills to build something as custom as many folks show on this forum.

Dukes of Hazzard style

A 22 yr-old female launched her car, "Dukes of Hazzard style", over a toll booth at the DFW airport, down here in Texas! She admitted to drinking cranberry and vodka prior to driving... and by the way, it was just after SIX IN THE MORNING!

Re: Different Wheels for JRX2 ???

Thank you very much for the "wheel spacer" info.

So, for the JRX-2 conversion, the B4 wheels are still driven by a drive-pin setup, as opposed to being driven by a hex adapter - it's just that the drive-pin is built-in to this 'spacer'. Right? ((as shown in Scr8p's picture))

http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=6453 lots of info there I just read through that entire thread, great info! I am not quite clear on the " .125" wheel spacer ", can you explain this further? Do you mean the spacer behind the axle pin? Can you show a picture of this, a...

Re: My RC10T2 Runner

Do you know what caused this catastrophic failure??? Was the endbell assembled/tightened correctly? Was it running good right up until failure? Was there melted plastic? Or just smoke? Sorry for the interrogation, I just enjoy vintage brushed motors very much, and I wonder what may be going wrong wi...

Re: Here’s my idea to re-vitalize 2 wheel electric…

I grew up with 2wd buggies, I don't think anything will ever be cooler to me. My local track also has very weak turnout for this class, usually not enough to have a separate class, so we end up running a kind of run-what-you-brung electric class (2wd, 4wd, stadium trucks...). ((At the same time, the...

Re: Post your vintage PRINTS here in the vintage RC Photo Al

Me in the pits at the Ascot Raceway (Gardena CA right?) in 1985. Age 15. http://i406.photobucket.com/albums/pp149/brijob/SCAN0017.jpg I remember those little fold-up tables - folded up into kind of a long brief-case looking thing... I always wanted one, never had the money... ((Unfortunately, I nev...

Re: Trying to decide on a new motor.. suggestions?

Brushed motors are getting harder to find, for sure. I agree with the Komodo Dragon based 19t motors, they run great. For a higher-end 19t, there is the Team Checkpoint "money" motor. Also, I recommend the last generation Reedy 19t motor - called the "quad 19", it says "Reed...
