Re: Yokomo Chassis

The first one is black fiberglass (based on the same observations as mr lexan), and the second one is a combination of carbon outer layers with a fiberglass core. This is very popular from that era. The center layers of a composite offer little strength, so by using a less expensive alternative at t...

Re: yz10 rear wheel adapters for rc10

I know. But I just picked up full set of white pavidas rims, and a cool set of 2.2 inch BBS style rims. I dont know who made them, but they will look great on a runner :). Its funny you know, I used to have boxes of those white and black pavidas rims when I ran a yokomo, and so did everyone else. I ...

Re: zapping motor

Here is a little info from another forum. I know it may be a little off topic, but may help "clarify" things. This was a discussion that I was involved in as a manufacturer several years ago. There is more than one forum to look at, so you may want to poke around. -Jeff http://www.rctech.n...

Re: slipper for xls or cougar 2 question

There were a couple options available if you are interested in a slipper for an XLS. Schumacher produced several versions of slippers and layshafts for the Procat, and Bosscat. Both of these will fit in the XLS tranny, but these will necessitate a rear differential swap (the bosscat will also use di...

Re: Turbo Optima Versus Super Shot????

I realy don't think there is any comparison. the Optima series of cars have always been better in performance, quality (for a racer anyways) and adjustability than any of the tamiyas from that era.

Re: vintage fiberglass rc10 with gold pan parts

I know a little about the place. It was a motorcylcle painting shop mostly. The guys there were VERY talented airbrush artists. Small time RC place though. Small hobby shop, and mediocre track. I only raced there a few times and was not impressed. To be honest, I never new they produced anything as ...

Have you tried using only a servo and dry battery setup (e.g no speedo or motor)?

Re: CAT belt pitch

Would you like the actual part numbers for the front and rear belts from Stock Drive Products here in the USA? 8) All you have to do is specify a width. These are the standard belts for the Procat, XLS and previous models (not the rounded tooth design). I used to have these manufactured (almost 20 y...
