Bolink Eliminator Rebuild

Have the Eliminator fully assembled and now thinking ‘tronics. More from the motor / battery aspect as I have a Spektrum DX5C so I’m just going to get a receiver. I was wondering if anyone has gone brushless/LiPo on one of these models. My concern is it won’t be able to hold traction. Thought?

Re: A few differences I noticed on my early rc10 (edinger)

I know this is an old post, but I’m new on the forum. I’ll have to check that as I have an early no-stamp and just recently restored a CE. Hmmm.

Re: RC10 transmission maintenance, differences, and options

Thanks for the info. The “new” one I recently acquired is white nylon, but who’s to say the internals weren’t changed. As I bought off a friend who makes a living selling parts. It may have been rebuilt with who knows what gear ratios lol. No matter, as its going in a CE and I’m hoping I can tame it...

Re: RC10 transmission maintenance, differences, and options

If I may interject a question or two. I recently bought a Stealth tranny from a friend, as I’m going to replace the 6 gear I installed in my rebuilt CE, it I haven’t a clue how to tell the difference of these transmissions. B3, B4,... no clue. I’m old school and only knew the 6 gear. As I recently r...

Re: It’s starting again! RC10 Build number 4!

Well Done. I hate to see a good car languishing in obscurity lol. I finished my second RC10 rebuild a few weeks ago, a CE. I rebuilt mr Edinger No-Stamp prior to that. Both are running, though I’m going to swap the 6 gear tranny for a Stealth this weekend. Good Luck

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

As a matter of fact, I received this today. A vintage Bolink Eliminator. My next restoration project, if I can scrounge parts lol. I may hit up my local hobby shop to see if anything is available. They carry RC10 parts, but not sure about Bolink.

Re: Restored Champion’s Edition

That’s the plan. I’ve also lowered the front of the body shell to keep a little less wind from lifting her. We shall see.

Re: Does anyone recognize this model?

Thank you, I checked and confirmed it’s a Challenger. I’ve tried to find a manual for it, but with a monumental lack of success. I can see getting parts for it is going to be a challenge. Rather poetic actually lol.

Re: Bolink Eliminator Arrived

After nosing around, you’re probably correct. The only thing that gives me pause is that my car has those little clear plastic plates, which I assume were where the batteries mounted that I have seen on the Eliminator 10. I guess they played with the designs or these were installed as an upgrade (if...

Bolink Eliminator Arrived

Aside from my Bolink Challenger that arrived a few days ago, my vintage Bolink Eliminator showed up. If I can scrounge the parts, that’ll be my next restoration project. It needs a good washing and I’ll have to get bearings to replace the bushings and theb2 rear shocks are missing. Overall the cars ...

Re: Restored Champion’s Edition

I had it about 5 months and while it was, for the most part, whole, it was grubby and rusty. I replaced most of the steering assembly, the shocks and had to drill a new place for the camber turnbuckles (also replaced) because the steering was binding. Not insurmountable problems. Added up to date el...

Restored Champion’s Edition

After 4-5 months of building I finally got my CE up and running. She’s sporting a brushless/ 2s LiPo and she is quick. Now if I can set her up so she doesn’t blow over at full throttle lol. She currently has a 6-gear transmission but I’ve acquired a Stealth tranny, which I’ll be installing this week...

Does anyone recognize this model?

Just received a Bolink Challenger, or at least I think it’s a Challenger. When I go online and run a search, I don’t see this particular chassis. It has the beige bottom pan and an orange top pan. It’s a 1/12 scale and still has the original msc. Also came with a stock Bolink motor. Any assistance w...

My first RC10 is running again

I’ve had an original RC10 Gold Pan for 32 years. I raced with it and ran it in the street. Back in the 90’s I loaned it to my best friend who had recently sustained a traumatic brain injury. I figured he was the one who got me into RC and he needed something to focus on. Well he focused on taking it...
