Re: No lube on 6-gear diff thrust bearing?
The thrust bearing should get a moly grease. The diff balls should have a silicone based lubricant. No matter the brand of diff. Never run them dry. As pointed out above the og manual doesn't state that you need to put any grease on the thrust. I never used any bitd , nor did any racers I know. It'...

Re: Trinity Monster Horsepower Pink Label, legit?
Were there ever Monster Horsepower Pink Label motors with a silver can (Trinity not stamped or engraved at bottom of can) and a black plastic Epic endbell? Endbell is held onto the can with the two tabs on the can, not screwed to the can. All pink labels I've seen so far are black cans and say Trin...

Re: Dating a Lightspeed motor
Maybe someone else will have a more accurate time period/date, but my GUESS is 1997/1998. I was thinking the same. didn't the early ones have air supply end bells? She would look better in high heels though. I have an early Lightspeed stock using an AYK Race Prep teardown w/ neon orange on the endb...

ASC 6371 is the part that you have. They surface on ebay once in a while. I sold my 4 spare sets last month, so I currently cannot offer one unless I pull them off my Pro Race.MiniTrucker wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 9:41 pm Yes I need to find some universals. Where would be a good place to look?

Re: Andys, houge, and A&L goodness.
Cool vintage buggy. Unfortunately it's missing some Andy's parts and is not a complete Pro Race kit. - As you pointed out the trailing arms mounts and arms are Houge. Andy's mounts are lower profile, and the trailing arms are a similar design but made out of a composite material - Rear bulkhead, cas...

Re: RC Rebuild
I see 6633 and 6614 on eBay for $30 shipped ea. If you want to try and save a few bucks you can try Facebook r/c groups. I agree with the 3/8 x 5/8 outdrive bearing mod. We were doing those in the very early 90's when bearings were roughly $10 ea. I'd skip the 3D gears since they a...

Re: Can you help identify this diff shaft?
Yes, I just happen to have that one NIP since I was hunting the phillips variant for a while. It comes in 2 flavors with one being the normal e-clip end. It has longer threads for the nut.

Re: TrackMaster Long Diff Shaft?
I figured that you were overdue for a response. Yes, it's for a 6 gear tranny with slightly longer threads for the nut. Yours appears to have the phillips screw on the end instead of the e-clip. No extra parts needed. ![Mr. Green ](./images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
