Latest news of my Tomahawk 2014, wheels have been dyed black before silver painting.

I'm pretty sure that diff outdrives are not correctly machined. The slot for the dog bones pin are deep enough but not the center bore. I remove a few material with a round drill bit (very few, 0.5 mm) and I have no more binding.

The chrome of these wheels is very very fragile, you can scratch them with finger nails.

I decided to remove all the chrome with sodium hydroxide (hoven or drain cleaner, carefull, it's very corrosive on skin).

I cleaned the transmitter, it's not legal to use it in France (75mhz is for radio and tv reporters), but I think it's a really cool looking thing. Old tires have come off really easily with petrol, and original wheels are still in very good shape. Only problem is to found fresh tires... :mrgreen: After a few research, I decided to use 6 front Tamiya F104 tires, with two tires glued on each rear wheels...a little expensive (30$ for 6 tires) and...
