Body looks really good all polished up. Nice work ! ...But it isn't a 2048 Camao:
Your body is a Firebird/Trans Am. I don't recall who made the body back in the day but TBG is currently reproducing it:
I had the idea to make a mid motored Rc10 without having to drill holes in the chassis or cutting the sidewalls. I noticed that the holes lined up and wondered if it would work. It doesn’t really clear the motor so I am worried about shorting...

How did I get started?
I was on vacation around '88 or so, and picked up a '57...

I was at a church barzaar around 83 and saw a new frog in the box unbuilt for $15. Bought it and the rest is history. That turned into the Hot trick frog/rc10 that I still have. Raced it in the local ROAR races in th emid to late 80's..
Some of you that have been on RC10talk from the beginning might remember this car. I bought this car about 10 years or so ago off ebay. This is my RC10, the car that started this whole vintage thing for me. I don't think it would be too much of a...

I hear that! I've gathered up parts with the original intent of building a box art car, but then looking at how far some of the guys have taken them - I just realized that I would just have ended up building a mediocre copy.
