Custom Works Enforcer-10

Post by Charlie don't surf »

Picked this up for myself (NIB), It's a Custom Works Enforcer-10 Sprint conversion for the RC10. It uses the RC10 Stealth or 6 gear, RC10 rear suspension and rear shocks. I thought it might be a silver flecked chassis, turned out to be even better-

It has an odd variation (at least to me) of Associated bone white colored parts

(left) instead of the pearl white parts (right) and RPM white (center)- I hadn't seen this before, but will be using the pearl ones typically sent with these cars- or, I'll use the off white parts and a Raborn rear end kit-

What can you tell us about the CW chassis with flakes in them? When were they made, for how long, etc?

I have a new CW dominator fiberglass chassis and top plate that has purple flakes in it. Always thought it was odd as I'd never seen a fiberglass chassis or one with small purple flakes in it.

Sounds cool! PBR Allstar said hid Enforcer-10 had a woven chassis and sparkle towers BITD, I've seen the E-10 in Custom Works literature as early as 93, and this style carbon was new and fresh in the 91-94 era

The first time I opened this thread I was just lurking around on my ipod touch like your freaky neighbor who stands outside your window in his underwear with a bottle of Jergen's and roll of paper towels. I didn't really see the appeal; but now that I see the full size pics that is really a cool effect. I can see why you like it. 8)

Custom works still does this at times, A year or so ago I built an SE for a friend of mine and it came with the $100 optional solid chassis.

Back in the day custom works did smaller parts runs so things changed kit to kit sometimes depending on the suppliers, etc. when I got my first enforcer D/D sprint car it came with 0* rear toe blocks which were a fairly rare factory option. Ive also seen cars from that same era that came with the super light weight foam core unidirctional carbon chassis.
Nowadays there's not as many surprises in the kits, Just a lot more Chinese plastic....

Slick. Does it come with a roll cage and body and everything? I never knew Custom Works made conversion kits. Looking forward to seeing how it looks built up.

Cage, body and wing! Aaron recalled some arms he sold a few years ago so I can go with the matching pearl white parts, Ford sent me some early white CW foam rims a while back with the Kranzels Terminator he sold.

So I had 2 hours last night, have plenty of other things to do- but I needed a break from Organic Chemistry 252 for a little while  So I took a bit of time for myself 8)

I had compiled some NIP parts to work on this some more

JRX-2/T Tecnacraft turnbuckles
RPM Team Car rear arms
RPM Team Car powertrain enhancement kit
MIP Lite Drives
MIP Aluminum bones (1st gen)
S&K 1400 SCR's
Eastcoast Yokomo based 11x2
Composite Craft motor plate
Trinity Large volume Delta shocks
Customworks Caps
Raborn Spring kit
DSCN6309.JPG
Then did some building-

Then a thunderstorm came up at 12:45am- so I got this-

This looks awesome Reg!! You get more done in two hours than I do in two months

I've never seen early aluminum MIP bones before with the slight step down before the pin, very cool!
