So, what did you do RC today?

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

this advertised feature did not work on my Ender 5 Plus... But even if it worked, most of the prints would be lost : once the bed is down in temp, print detachs by itself resulting in either a layer shift (at best) or a gigantic unorganized spaghetti mess... Plan to put an UPS next to your printer, especially if power issues are frequent...
I have a Cyberpower 1500PFCLCD backup power supply for my printer and it isn't good enough. A momentary power trip still results in a failed print.

I ordered a UPS first thing this morning, and "borrowed" one from work this afternoon, but like Ed said, I don't know if either will be quick enough for the printer and octopi. Fingers crossed though. I was thinking about getting one anyway just to keep phones on charge during the times I don't feel like lugging out the generator.

Today, I experimented with Easy Off on Tamiya hard body parts. I have only used brake fluid in the past, with slow but good results. The Easy Off worked fantastically, with just one coat and sitting outside in a closed bucket for a few hours.

Built a Turbo Scorpion during the week. No paint yet though.

I have to say, this is one of the nicest kits I've built. The kit was organized nicely (especially compared to the Lunchbox I built last week) and instructions were on point. Fit and finish of all the parts is fantastic. Hope to run this one at VONATs in the Classic class if I'm able to get over my jetlag by then. The only thing I wish that did was include some sort of tuning tips especially for the front suspension in the manual.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

I have had a few DF-03 chassis for years and never run any of them - until this weekend.

Two of the chassis are basically stock rollers - the third one has a few upgrades including:
- Tamiya aluminum Hop Up shocks - incredibly smooth, very nice shocks.
- Front one-way diff.
- Various blue aluminum parts.

I installed Spektrum Rx/Tx, Traxxas servo, and the Tamiya TBLE-02s ESC with matching TBLM 10.5 motor.
- It makes decent power (more like a 17.5) - but the motor barely gets warm while the ESC starts cooking!
- I will need to upgrade the ESC for any 'serious' running.

All-in-all, I am quite surprised at how capable this chassis is - it handles very well (stable, smooth/quiet):

Cut the body and wing today. Been a long time since I’ve done an AE body (BOKI). Super happy with the fitment (need to sand a few small areas).

Did the paint and decals on my Frog/Brat project.

I used metallic burgundy and backed it with metallic gunmetal, giving it a cranberry metal flake look. Very 80's.

The rest of it still needs a few things but this should motivate me to finish it.

Very nice! I like the simplicity of the scheme. Very classy.

Painted the bottom half of my electronics box for my Hilux, and then proceeded to scratch the F out of it while squeezing in a grommet. So now, it is being painted again, and will continue to have a big scratch through it.

I did get and install some repop Tami Sand Scorcher shocks which I was really hoping were close to the right lengths, and they are close enough!! :D Shocks were an option on the Hilux, and are about completely worthless since it takes about 20lbs of pressure to compress the springs 1/4", and there is zero extension, but I think they look cool none the less.

edit: didn't even let the paint dry. I was ready for this to be in!

Test drove the Scorpion in my driveway. Didn't want to ruin the tires I mounted so I borrowed the tires from the drag parts car. Looks tough even without the body.

Rollout is way too high for the stock motor but it was fun.

As soon as I saw that one on FB I fell in love with the concept!! Yours looks great! Someone should produce a glass version using a standard nosepiece......................

I spent a little more time this evening on the Bandustlerpede. From just an idea I had around lunchtime today, this has come together well. The front should be Bandited tomorrow as long as the LHS has the very few parts that are needed.

Stripped down and rebuilt three 6 gear transmissions. Had to hit up the junk box and do some mixing and matching, but all three are smooth now. The new outer hub should be here in a few days for the right one.

Was just digging through another junk box and found an RPM gear cover that I got in a parts lot. Turns out, it was for a B4.

Also found some nip diff rings and idle shaft for a B4. They were marked as being for a SC10, which shares several parts.

7 1/2" with the old school front end and trailing arms. I took out 3" total so with conventional arms it might vary just a tad
