And once you put it together, it is worth twice as much on the used market, than it was when it was new. At least that is how the local market works here for them. Definitely on the list, but haven't found one near the deal it would need to be.
Really? Wow, I wasn't aware it would be worth more after it's assembled. Hmm, maybe I should start a side gig.
Anyway, I already have plans to add a second one (a King Hauler) in a few months. Then, there's the multi-function units, trailers, accessories, etc. It's a money pit for sure and definitely not for every RC hobby fan.
I guess I could have gone with an elaborate HO train layout or maybe a really nice rocking chair.

Hey, wouldn't be interesting if some company like HG cloned the Tamiya semi's?

Didn't they advertise the Big Bear as being able to float and run in water?

Wow, I haven't seen one of these in years. Restoring the body could be tricky but well worth the effort. This is a great looking truck!!

Congrats Derek

Used Airtronic's caliber 3P on 27Mhz, this was the legal frequency in New Zealand back in the day, the USA 72Mhz was used for CB Radios, came with NIcad pack, AM and FM modules, factory manual, box, a couple of receivers, and a lot of dust.

Alloy threaded shocks, 4 sets,
Grabbed these off Hobby King, they did a knock off buggy bz444 a while back and the shocks were smooth and leak free, very nice action.
Couldn't resist grabbing a few last sets on closeout for future projects,
When i grabbed them they were $11 NZ dollars (about $6.50 USD) a pair, the spring sets were $1 ea, hard to go past.

Low profile servos, found these on Ali Express, set up for Touring Cars, but i do like the low profile, was finding it hard to justify the money for the latest futabas etc, rather buy more cars.
These are brushed, metal gear, low profile, not bad spec's, and under $20 New Zealand, or approximately $12 USD ea.
Only problem was the blue anodizing, some may like it, but i didnt like it at all, stood out on the older chassis.

Took them apart and gently sanded the anodizing off, buffed the alloy up, and resprayed with satin black, I think Matt will be better but used what I had lying around until I can get to the shops.
Doesn't scream out "look at me "now. will also shorted and swap out the servo lead to futaba colors as well.

Nice same shocks that team c used, and they’re what I put on my cougar 2 team factory build, wish I’d seen that deal you found I would have bought a few sets for sure

I saw it and I needed it. But that dang Tekin, making almost all of their stuff with only 12v alligator clip hookups. Arrrgh!

I was watching that, but wasn't in the budget. Especially since the local HobbyTown manager recently told me he ordered a handful of Kyosho Optima Mids since I inquired about them. I didn't request one, just brought it up in conversation, then he informs me he put in an order for a stock pile of them. Ughh... now I feel obligated to buy one
