RC10 Team Car restoration
Here we go following on from my other thread(Where I bought all kinds of stuff) I now have lots of scrubbed up and cleaned parts all ready to assemble. I should have enough for a runner but also to rebuild a Team car into a runner. Just going to clean up what I have before I start buying new bits like bodies, wheels etc etc. Heres the pics:
Cleaned up metal work:
Cleaned up plastic:
The body looking a bit rough:
I scrapped all the stickers off and polished up the body with t-cut its still pretty rough but looks clean enough now. Sore fingers/nails now too!
Only trouble is I can't see to find any axle stubs I have what looks like the later hubs with the round axles and plenty of normal hubs but no hex axles!

Re: RC10 Team Car restoration
Cheers for the tip, thats the only kind of arms I have of that type at the moment. I'll switch em to the multi mix part runner when I get the chance. What colours should the other parts be? Seems to be differences between the manual and various, some black, some white.

Re: RC10 Team Car restoration
Just a noob question please (1st RC10 build) The manual says the rear hub carriers should be marked L or R but I can't see any marking and they look identical?

Re: RC10 Team Car restoration
If the hub carriers are not marked then they are 0º, as used on the older 'short front arm' cars. This assumes they are the white ones in one of the above photographs... The 0º are not 'handed', and as such fit either side. The correct Team Car carriers are 1.5º per side and the left one is marked with an 'L'. The right is unmarked, but can be differentiated from the older 0º by the thickness of the material where the camber rod ball stud mounts. the old 0º carriers are thinner.vanpeebles wrote:Just a noob question please (1st RC10 build) The manual says the rear hub carriers should be marked L or R but I can't see any marking and they look identical?

Ah cheers, I've got four here and they all look the same. I'll fit em and see what it's like. Learning all the time!
