HI!... Got this Tamiya FALCON for dirt cheap off of ebay. I'm going to restore this one as well to original condition. I pulled the body off and got a bonus. Full Novak Receiver and ESC inside with a vintage battery. :mrgreen:

So, the Falcon was my first car. Does anyone know if a rerelease of this might happen? I was once told that Tamiya lost many of the molds...

I see one on eBay for $900 for sale but of course can't look for kits that have actually sold. I think the re-re is actually going to happen, but after thinking on it some, I think I'm going to keep it. Building & shelving it - don't see much reason...

This buggy I plan on running in the Classic class. Pretty much a bone stock Falcon with the exception of Losi springs and HPI superstar wheels and J concepts tires. Same combo I ran on the Frog.

More pics as I get her finished up as well.

The Marui Galaxy RS I resto-modded for my brother had a similar issue with the wing screwed directly to the body (rollcage, in that example).

Couldn't you simply drill a few holes horizontally in your FRP reinforcement piece between the shock...

Is no secret the stock drives are junk. They wear out quickly and either fall out or break completely.

There are 2 universally accepted upgrades:

CRP uprated driveshafts
Thorp dogbones

But..........I want universals and I am sure it's possible....

Tamiya Falcon was the first R/C I ever entered in a race, back in the mid-80's. I no longer have that buggy, but, I have accumulated a few others in recent years.

This is an almost 100% stock Falcon - only upgrades are bearings and CRP dogbones -...

A young kid had one and was very quick i thought but didn't like the corners too well.

I have looked at the boxes that show the timeline. I figure i have a early Cadalac car stamped on the bottom A and the manual says 84' But there is no text on the end on the box? Either end. And the rest is printed on. So I thought they all had the...

Well, the info on the early cars was printed right on the box end, the slightly later cars were papered and glued ( which loses its tack around basements :roll: ) but the place where your addy would be is on the opening side of the box, bottom...
