cedric asked in one of the nats threads about getting info on the cars, which i think is a cool idea. so, i thought we could post our stuff up like they would in rcca of the winner's buggy/truck. here's mine...........

CAR: RC10 Graphite Team Car/RPM Worlds Conversion Hybrid
RADIO: Futaba 3PM 2.4ghz
RECEIVER: Futaba R603FF
SERVO: Futaba S3003
ESC: LRP QC2
MOTOR: Trinity Green Machine 27t / old school non-rebuildable
BATTERIES: Energ 4600's / Promatch & TQ Cells
TRANS: RPM 2.65 Stealth Conversion
SHOCKS: ASC Team Shocks - .71's (front), 1.32's (rear)
TIRES: JConcepts Rounders (front), and JConcepts Double Dee's (rear)
WHEELS: JConcepts / B4
BODY: ASC Protech
MISC: chassis kickup cut to use narrow RPM bulkhead, RPM worlds arms, andy's pro graphite front shock tower, rc10gt wide front axles, losi steering bellcrank, modified 10t rear shock tower, RPM 10t rear bulkhead, HG trans brace, losi rear hub carriers, b44 rear cvd's, b4 ft battery brace, robinson racing lightened b3/t3 slipper clutch, lunsford turnbuckles.

The car looks sweet. How did it handle? Did you customize the chassis to fit the RPM front bulkhead? I would also like to know what shock tower was used on the rear?....I need something like that.

It sounds like fun was had by all at the event. Thanks for the pics.

i uhhhh, kinda got my camera wet taking pictures of my wheel while driving home in a storm...

i kinda thought it was a dumb idea...


CAR: ae pink powdercoated tub and nose, trimmed for dynatech 'worlds' arms.
10t rear tower, rpm worlds front with added holes for the longer b4 shocks.
homebrewish steering bellcrank made from a cut rpm upper wishbone and the tall bellcranks from an ultra molded chassis.
rpm worlds front c-hubs and steering arms, rpm rc10gt rear carriers with ae #7935 bearings for 3/16" cvds.
RADIO: spektrum 3.0 dsm
RECEIVER: spektrum sr3000
SERVO: spektrum z590
ESC: novak gtb
MOTOR: novak 17.5 brushless
BATTERIES: maxamps 4000mah 2s lipo
TRANS: rpm 1.95 oval trans. 83t spur/24t pinion, 6.57:1 overall gear ratio
SHOCKS: b4 shocks built to the ftb4 manual, #2's up front, #1's rear, 30wt oil, green springs
TIRES: jconcepts rounders front, double dees rear
WHEELS: duracrack nitro ev's for qualifying, ae b3's for the mains
BODY: ae protech1, ae 5.5 wing

i'll replace the images if my camera isnt messep up and the lense dries out.

were any mods done to fit the jconcepts rims? They look pretty good on there.

SHOCKS: Standard losi kit shocks, 30 wt oil and ? pistons
SPRINGS: Modern losi green(r) original losi silver(f)
TIRES: Losi mini pins(r) Proline RED Pro-15
WHEELS: Rear Losi XX Front Proline dish (2.1)
BODY: Original JRX-2 survivor racer. (Reinforced nose section)
MODS: Lower rear link spaced inward with nylon nut and upper link flipped to allow wheel/tire clearance.
Lexan transponder mount on left side bulkhead, Battery box front lower section cut flush with screw holes for modern battery fitment.
UPGRADES: losi ball bearing steeing bellcranks and mini bumper, RPM front arms, Tecnacraft heavy duty turnbuckles and rod ends.
The left lower shock end popped off with 1 minute left in the main :cry:

Aconsola's car was :shock: scary fast coming down the straight away, I must admit I was a little afraid when he came down the track and I was marshalling at the end of the straight, but he kept that beast under control, at the last moment he would slam on the brakes and make the turn :D

SHOCKS: Team Shocks -- AE 35wt oil all around
SPRINGS: Gold Fronts/Green Rears(not pictured but used at the nationals)
TIRES: JConcepts Double Dee rears/Proline Edge Fronts
WHEELS: Proline rears for 1/4 axles and Proline Fronts
BODY: RC10T2
MODS: RPM front and rear arms, RPM body mount kit, RPM bumper

Qualified 3rd in the A-main and Finished 6th :( due to some unnecessary roughness :wink:

now i know there was more than 6 cars that raced at the nats. if there wasn't, i would've made the A-main. :wink:

Another good idea that I would like to use for the next event (assuming I have time). Maybe we can get another member to step up to be a pit reporter and help a mod out next time! :D I might be able to convince my wife to do it......... might take some convincing though.
