Thought I’d share some pics of my Kyosho Javelin I just got into runner status. I installed a Hobbywing 1060 ESC (fit great but needed to extend the Battery/motor wires) and a OG Kyosho 480 gold motor.

I also added a couple upgrades, a carbon top...

This buggy looks great! Well done.. I love those Kyosho titanium turnbuckles because they look like old Tecnacraft ones.

As winter sets in , I find myself surfing the forum more and more . I love a photo laden thread on a cool car . Or a neat story on how we find some of our rides

It's been a very long time since I owned a Javelin caged car and I was about due for another.
Yep, I picked this jem up off eBay and while it looks a little dusty the extra picks the seller sent me show this car to be in quite good condition....

BTW, what would be the best way to brighten up the cage? Both of Mine are a bit dull.

I think Pargu does still have the wings available. As far as brightening the cage, try some PlastX plastic...

Ok so i got this Javelin off ebay about a week ago, I had hoped it was in a little better shape then it was, The previous owner did a little creative cutting of the cage (Around the antenna mount and switch)

Im not sure what i want to do with the...

New wheels and wing...off to the shelf...is what I would do...oh that is after driving it for a minute, but not with those nice tires.

I'm so pumped to add another childhood dream machine to the RC garage. I couldn't believe I found this buggy close to me. I thought it may be a rere, but after seeing it in person, I knew it was an original.

The cage and frame needs some attention...

I don't know, but my guess is that the original parts would have faded over the decades. Javelin is what, 35 years old? 38? If it is a runner it may not matter.
