Thanks for adding me

Post by JimClark »

I live in Seattle and have a B Stamp RC-10 that I gave to my son in the early 90's. He passed away in December 2018 and i can't bring myself to sell it. I want to restore it and outfit it with bearings and a new body as well as clean it all up and make it a tribute to him. So looking for info and guidance for bodies and painting and ways of cleaning and lubing it all up.

Welcome to the forum. That will be a great tribute, sorry to hear about your son.

The best advice is to rebuild it following the manual. It should include all of the lube types needed.

Cleanup is best with dish soap and a toothbrush, for really heavy grime or stains simple green is great to get it even cleaner.

Avidrc sells bearings for a buck each.

Painting is a whole different topic. Get some time working on the car under your belt and ask more questions and post more pics. As you get more familiar with it, you can get paint and body tips here.
