There had been pictures of a motor before what was named as Checkpoint Platinum with the difference of using regular brush gear instead of the slot type brushes. This was actually something as an OEM can sold by Checkpoint to Fantom for their early motors.
I was looking for such motor for ages but got one now. Right after unpacking.
Someone knows if those motors had a specific name?

Hi Chris!
I am not an expert on Checkpoint motors but as far as I know the last two digits is a reference to the turns. So you have a hotter 17 and a milder 20 (single for the 17 and double for the 20 but I am not 100% sure). Best regards!
Hi, Anybody can tell what is the meaning of these number marking on the Vintage Platium Checkpoint motor ?
I see these numbers engraved on the end-bell #1220 and #1017. Your input is appreciated.
I can't for the life of me find anything about this motor on the web. I do not remember seeing these BITD either. If anyone has some info I would greatly appreciate it.

General info really. Are they hand wound? Good or bad? etc..
After reading the Son of Psycho thread I thought I'd share a picture of this motor that has been in my collection for eleven years now. It is very pink, especially when viewed in person.
