A Server Fund Donation
I have had a great deal of help and advice from many of the members of this great site (you know who you are). I would have liked to bid on rc10johnny’s very kindly donated auction car but I knew I wouldn’t have the funds to make it meaningful (well done and congratulations to chophead69).

I wanted to tie in a donation to the site server fund based on this auction, so as a way of a thank you to all those who have made me feel so welcome here over the years I will be donating 10% of the winning bid to the site server fund.
Cheers guys.

Re: A Server Fund Donation
That is a generous idea.
When I first arrived here I made a small donation to the server fund as I saw a banner request. I do like the way it is optional though. With other sites you get bombarded with requests to upgrade every time you log on.
Out of interest what sort of figure does it cost annually to keep a site going? Is it in the hundreds or thousands? I have literally no idea.
Another random thought - there could be a seperate section to the classifieds for donated parts, whose sale goes to the server fund? I am sure many people have parts they are not too fussed over keeping. If they are going to a good cause they may well sell faster too.
