Tamiya Top Force / TA-02
Ever since I want to have the Top force Evo but the price difference between the Top Force And Evo is freaking high.
Based on assumption price of Top Force is 150 to 200 and Evo range from 350 to 450
So decided to build a Top force that close to Evo as possible and it will start with these
I'm looking for
rear body post (no 13 in J tree )
complete set of wing stay
body shell and decals
any help from the above parts (where to buy) will be appreciated

Re: Tamiya Top Force / TA-02
Did you get my arms I sent ???
It's been a while now.
I can help you with the rear body post.
J Parts tree is cheap from Jason's store.
Top Force Body set from TBG is great.
Evo decals/stickers will be expensive when they show up on e bay.

Re: Tamiya Top Force / TA-02
Im looking for the wire wing set for about a year now and I cant find one sigh!
The reason I have TA-02 in my title is because it will be my plan B if I cant find the Top force wing holder.
And it will be look like this
i will transfer all the red parts to the top force to preserve the TA-02 looks
If I go to this direction I need to find onroad body shell that will fit to this rally car
Need also to replace the shocks

You looking for the wire wing set? That's in the "press parts bag". Plenty on eBay.

Re: Tamiya Top Force / TA-02
Yes the Top Force / EVO are the same bosy set.
As you said the decals are not hence the high prices they reach.
The ball diffs are different too. Much lighter ones are used in the EVO.

Re: Tamiya Top Force / TA-02
The ball diffs in the EVO are the same Manta Ray ball diffs as in the normal Top Force, only they use the optional lightweight alloy diff parts.
TA03 ball diffs should fit I think.

Re: Tamiya Top Force / TA-02
This is ironic....
I made a youtube video series (4 parts) for the TA02 to Top Force conversion. Feel free to take a look:

Nice build
We have the same idea but I will build mine the other way around. Yours is TA02 to Top force conversion but my mine is Top Force to TA02
I want to build a rally car out of it. I will use the chassis and arms of the Top force to have a wider and long wheel base for stability. If I can get the onroad mustang bodyshell, that would be perfect.
I used to play my TT01 in the dirt before, so I think it will be fan to use TA02.

Re: Tamiya Top Force / TA-02
That's pretty cool
The TA02 chassis is so versatile, although of course it really just comes down to the gearbox. They've done sedans, baja trucks, rally cars, and buggies with it. Good stuff...
