Adjustable motor mount

Post by 4.whoa »

Has anyone used one of these type before? If so how does it compare to the old crp 2 piece fiberglass one, is it a p.i.t.a. being just one piece?

Thanks for any insight :)

Looks like a nice setup but you don't have a easy micro adjustment. On the crp you could get the gears to mesh and then back it off, on this one you may have to install, check, uninstall, recheck etc. Still, it looks like a nice piece - i'd hit it 8)

I looked at that one & the other one buy CP racing I think.

I don't think it allows to go higher in pinions like what I wanted for my Frog with a stock 540.

My Topic is here along with the 5 I purchased for myself & others. They work so well. Just loosen the screw nuts & adjust mesh easy through the Lexan cover. Very well made too.

It bolts to the motor with the counter sunk screws provided and makes the plate flush. The 2 long screw are counter sunk as well and slide up down on the other side of the plate. This allows the motor to move up & down. The 2 long screws just bolt up through the grear case as normal.

All up a very well made & effective mod for any Frog chassis.

If you can understand my description.
