My next JRX2 project
Out of many cars each with various perfect parts combined with boxes of parts and NIP parts a shelf queen will be born. Followed by a vintage racer to pick on some new stuff. Not sure yet what direction that will go. I will post pics as I go along, many boring to most I am sure but after 15 years away from the hobby I am loving it.

Re: My next JRX2 project
the orange car looks great. It is begging for a race-prep orange endbell motor and matching orange connectors.
hope to see more of the builds as they progress.

Which motor has the orange end bell? And what about orange connectors, I like your idea. I typically use deans which are of course red.
The orange one will become a shelf queen so maybe no connectors.

Looks like 5 link heaven....
I have attempted many times to step away from vintage, but just can't shake the bug. I NEED to build a 5 link runner with the solid rear shock tower and early battery cup .
Looks like you have some great starts there for many different builds.

Re: My next JRX2 project
I have begun disassembling all the cars. When I am done I will be picking the cleanest parts combined with a bunch of NIP ones I have to begin my shelf queen. The one thing holding me back is I need a good clean chassis. My best one is not terrible but somewhere along the way it had two extra holes drilled.
I keep hoping I will stumble into one but no luck?

Re: My next JRX2 project
it has taken me almost 4 years to find a new JRX-2 chassis plate. I finally found a pair of new plates in the same location, but had to spend $300 on a large lot of stuff to get them. they are out there, just need to be patient. There are also some quality complete cars that come up from time to time, but sually they go for big$.

Yes, I will assemble my shelf car with the best chassis I have and hope to stumble into one at some point. I think I am going to build my 5 link runner on a JRX Pro chassis for the added length. I have a pretty beat up one that would be perfect for running.

I have cataloged some variations here:

gotta find the motor plate pic, not sure why it doesn't show up.

Re: My next JRX2 project
That's a great catalog. I did not even look close enough to notice I had different rear bulkheads, side mounts and links as well.
I also have these weird bulky white a-arms that look like they are machined out of solid white nylon and some white side link mounts, I believe both were made by Robinson from what I can find.

Those are the robinson racing parts. they are actually PVC, not nylon.

That is a long wheelbase, 30 degree jrx-T chassis, or a pro-formance upgrade kit chassis, but not a jrx-2.
