this was listed as a houge buggy with mip trans on ebay. the pics were really bad and i never asked for better ones before i bid.

anyway, i ended up with a bid turd in the mail... lesson learned. i yanked the tranny off of it but didnt have the heart to really take it all apart. i felt kinda sorry for it. this car is sooooooo used. not really beat on or thrashed, but ran many many times.

i'm gonna take it apart can clean it all up, replace all the bent and hacked stuff and put it back together with some tlc. i'm hoping i can just swap out the o-rings and shafts in the shocks and keep the bodies. they are the oldschool bottom rings and in very very bad shape. i hate the old shocks almost as much as the old 6 gear.

it'll prolly still be a turd.

Wow, I think that's the most used car I've ever seen. Nice angle on the camber links though lol. What's the thing mounted between the rear shock mounts on the tower? Is that some kind of body mount?

i may end up just re-building this car.

there isnt much besides the front and rear shock towers that hasnt been brutalized.

We've all been there. I spent $45 on a TRX-1 that looks like it was at the bottom of the ocean or a salt bath. I ended up throwing it away, literally. Sometimes you roll the dice and it is not what you had hoped.

"Daily driver" or "Guinea pig". Pretty gnarly... I love the ATF (or is it Marvel Mystery Oil?) in the shocks. Smell like wintergreen?

You'll do something creative with it...

pretty sure it was atf, i dunno maybe somebody makes red shock oil.

i swear the threads of the shocks were sealed with wood glue.

anyway, i put a bunch of the parts in some degreaser, then later on noticed it was 'fizzing' and realized the shock bodies were getting ate up. kind of a homer moment... i dunno if i rescued them in time.

well, it looks like it landed even. hard.........many times..............but even.

it's kinda funny to see that. my graphite team car chassis has the same thing going on in the front. from all the years of turning left. the bottom rf corner, at the kickup has the same look to it. not nearly as bad, but it's definately thinner than the left side.

For what it's worth, Losi used to make color coded shock oil.

Holy crap. That thing is in terrible shape.
The rear arms don't look too bad though (?)

Are those narrowed kongs?
