Re: Fine Design Patriot Drag Truck info needed
Hey guys I'm desperate for some instructions for this thing, the steering is unusual to me the chassis has 4 countersunk holes in the centerish of the chassis and one up front that looks like may be a mounting spot for a single steering post?
The wheelie bar and wing mounting is also unusual to me, just 4 small holes on the motor plates to push the wire through but no mounting method???

I'm pretty sure you are right for everything you said. The single mouting hole for a single bellcrank for steering. and the wing/wheelie bar mounts are with wire and slide into the holes. I believe the 4 mounting holes are for steering servo mounting.

Re: Fine Design Patriot Drag Truck info needed
Okay cool need to wait for the servo to come in so I can figure out linkage and stuff on the wheelie bar that would suck if it’s “just push the wire through” method it’s so flimsy up and down side to side.

Sweet! Never seeing two new ones side by side before, I've never really picked up on some of the differences. Like the Ford version only having a plain bed but having zoomies.

Man these things are ridiculously long, I should have the Chevy cut up and mounted today then off to Andy’s Paint.

Re: Fine Design Patriot Drag Truck info needed
Came up with this for the steering.
RC10F6 steering post, bearings, and arm with some AE aluminum ball studs TI turnbuckles and vintage ball cups. I did have to tap the aluminum post to run my standard hardware stock that I have , everything works perfect so far. Waiting on servo to proceed.......

Re: Fine Design Patriot Drag Truck info needed
There was a reason why I gravitated towards this thing......................................
Parts that were used to make these drag tucks came from the one and only TEAM ASSOCIATED RC12i/e, the whole rear assembly is from the 12i along with the single steering post mount setup & hubs from the 12e (GMV update).

Re: Fine Design Patriot Drag Truck info needed
Yes the pod is 12i, but the front steering is 12e. The 12i didnt use a bellcrank. The 12e steering crank ended up on the RC10 (which is why the early endinger cars made you trim the arm down). I assume it also uses the 12e wheel hubs (also used on the left side of a 12i) on both the left and right, with the spur bolted to it directly.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Yes correct on all counts bud, I’m learning along the way trying to get her going. The body’s gonna go off to Andy’s next week still waiting on servo, got some advice on electronics placements for example the battery should go up front I was told at the track by the pros.GoMachV wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 12:33 pm yes the pod is 12i, but the front steering is 12e. And thanks for the tip on the hubs.

She's all wired up transmitter synced and ESC programmed, threw her on the scales not bad for a vintage dragster.

Re: Fine Design Patriot Drag Truck info needed
Been watching a bunch of your drag cars. Can’t wait to see the difference of this style car to the others. I bought an RJ speed pro stock a couple years ago, have yet to mess with it though.
