I concur with Mr Serious about RJ's performance. I was watching the finals on livestream. Very impressive considering the truck was finished not long before the event.
Very well driven.

Was great to finally meet the guy, after we've given each other so much carp over the years on here!
Wait! What??? You've been sending each other fish all this time?????

I have to say that RJ's truck looked awesome in the flesh at the Bash.... and his performance was a standout for me, from a pretty awesome weekend of racing, chatting, and talking poop.

Such a brilliant weekend.... thanks for making the effort RJ, was very much appreciated!
Just got home from the track, thanks Alex for my matching stubble cooler It was fun catching up with you and Rob and talking crap. Watching Rob with the wing wire was gold and congratulations on your raffle win, have you thought about buying a lotto ticket??

Thanks Chris, despite some pretty average driving at times I still managed 4th in the A main of a pretty stout line up stadium trucks. Looking forward to the next one and/or other vintage events

That's the shoite right there! Beer and a resting stadium truck.....
As for the raffle win.... yeah, sometimes you just pull one from.... you know

Look out for Todd K. - he's a convicted serial killer!!!
What a awesome build and thread. Truck looks fantastic and love the cross outs on the body I might have to do something similar on mine.
Good job placing 4th in the event, must have been driving pretty darn well.
I'm really surprised these Polypro pinion gears held up fine in a big stadium truck with no slipper and good traction! The spur gear is thinner as well but the pinions are only 2.5mm thick.
Just to give you an idea they are plastic pinion gears and that black pinion next to it is an RRP Aluminum Pro Pinion
It was awesome meeting you and the wife RJ and talking poop with Alex. I also concur this thing was awesome and his performance making the A final was a stand out.
Well, with my pile of parts it turns out I have collected enough parts to put together 90% of another truck. I always liked the looks of Kyosho ST's, so this is the hodgepodge I came up with.
Hey guys been awhile since I been on the forum. I bought the all white SRT off Ebay last week.
And I was missing a few white parts. I took the white battery bar and stub axles off my TCP(they were in mint condition). I replace the transmission and...

Hey guys. Busy week. Anyways I was at the hobbyshop and found 1955r . What's confusing is they are the same as the 2555 they were selling. Maybe traxxas has some rare updated 1955r in white. Also no luck with the steering spindle in white. Also...
Hi, New here and coming from the Traxxas vintage forum. I have a huge thread about my SRT. I'll like to share it with everyone here and show what Traxxas really had going for it. Personally, the SRT and TCP are the greatest RC vehicles ever made. I...

But in hindsight, it would probably still be sitting in the same box if I had it today.
It still is but with a few more parts added to it
You had your hands on the shock tower here lately also
I only have a few RCCA ads and a couple articles in RC Model Cars to go on, but JG made an RC10-based racing truck in the early 90s. It looked to have a custom wide suspension arm setup, the old wide-offset wheels, extra long front shocks, and...

That's the one :) I tried to search but I guess JG is too short to find.
Doesn't surprise me if they didn't last long; it must have cost a ton to build with all those aftermarket parts, even with deals cut with suppliers.
im on a hunt for a rc i once wanted. double decker chassis, made out of that white fiberglass stuff you see on the rc500.
stadium truck style, long a arms, transmission had a circle on it, kida bulky looking i think.
any one got pics of this, or am...

The SRT was the last competition vehicle put out by Traxxas, unless you want to count the Revo and Slash
Hoping someone can help out.I need to find out what bag J consisted of in the SRT kit.I'm hoping somebody has either an assembly manual or some sort of parts list that may show it. :?

I should be racing my TRX1 after Christmas, I just need to buy a set of tires and get this box of parts put on the car. It should be really interesting, we have enough guys at our track that want to run a vintage class. It would be more fun than...
I've been looking for a Traxxas SRT for a while now, and I finally found one NIB on Craigslist for $150! The box was beat to Hell, but the parts were still bagged and everything was there. I forgot how much I hate e-clips until I put this thing...

Yeah, one of my many character flaws is my inability to be completely content with what I have. I was, and still am, excited to find this SRT. I'm just starting to wonder if letting it sit on a shelf for the foreseeable future is the best use of its...
